AED Defibrillators for
Home and Public Places

The number one killer in America is Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). It can strike anyone, anywhere, at any time, and in most cases, without warning. Without treatment, victims have only minutes to live.

Research studies have shown, the people who have had heart attacks have higher risk of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) and higher mortality rate. SCA is a leading cause of death in the USA accounting for 295,000 occurrences per year. The American Heart Association states, only 8 % survive. Most of the SCA occurrences take place in or near home. However, it can be successfully treated in many victims by an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), if available within 4-minutes of the SCA attack. On the average, it is estimated, a 911 response could take between 10-15 minutes. Then the question arises, why don’t we have an AED available for the SCA prone people at home? I personally believe most of them are unaware that such a device (AED) exists, which can possibly save a life in case of an SCA. Now with advanced technology, the defibrillators have become small, portable and most of all, affordable (AED Professionals markets a top rated, FDA approved model costing around $1,199.00), a layman can use them.

In June 2010, a 72 year old woman went into Sudden Cardiac Arrest at her Granddaughter's wedding. The Granddaughter started CPR and in a few minutes she was connected to an automated external defibrillator.  She got one shock immediately and CPR, then another shock around 20 minutes later.  She woke up in the ambulance and spoke with the EMS team.  A few months prior to the incident the daughter had purchased a HeartSine Samaritan PAD automated external defibrillator and was trained by a local distributor.

With quick response, this condition is readily treatable with survival rates well over 50%. Unfortunately, most of the time, the necessary life-saving equipment does not arrive in time. As a result, typical survival rates are only 2%-5%. Now there is something you can do to improve the odds dramatically for your community with a solution that is easy to use and inexpensive to buy. Sudden Cardiac Arrest is caused by chaotic electrical activity in the heart and can only be treated with an electric shock called defibrillation. Recent advances in modern technology, along with legislative support from federal and state governments, have made a solution available to the public. Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are this life-saving solution. By providing cost-effective, easy-to-use Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), Defibtech is leading the charge to arm communities and their citizens with a cost-effective defense against this life-threatening condition.  The bottom line is that with a modest investment, now you have a heart-safe community.  Key advantages of Defibtech Life line AEDs:

  1. Simplicity and ease-of-use

  2. Extremely cost-effective for tight budgets

  3. Low life-cycle cost of ownership

  4. Very low maintenance

  5. Excellent dust and water protection

  6. Long-life 5-year battery

  7. Exceptional durability and reliability

  8. Field-proven design

MAC Resting ECG / EKG

Connecting hearts and minds. Quality ECG tools lead to clinical accuracy.

The future of advanced ECG technology starts with a history of innovation. Since 1965, GE Healthcare has developed the diagnostic cardiology advances that help clinicians improve healthcare delivery. Today our portfolio of resting ECG systems give you clinical accuracy and connect you to advanced data analysis tools that lead to more confident diagnoses and better outcomes for diverse patient populations in both the physician's office and hospital environments.

MAC® ECG products help ensure high-quality ECG signals via our Marquette® Hookup Advisor, which informs clinicians of poor waveform quality during ECG recording. GE’s Marquette 12SL ECG analysis programs give you the power of proven analysis including ACI-TIPI and gender-specific interpretation. Our latest addition to the family of algorithms is the 12SL with Right Ventricular Interpretation (RVI) providing physicians with an additional view of the heart.

Comprehensive patient Care Monitors

Connectivity to other systems helps in getting the necessary data to the point of care. The ability to access information within and between departments can help improve nursing workflow efficiencies.

Information access to clinical data and data entry with patient centric bidirectional CARESCAPE iPanel that offers access at the bedside to lab results, diagnostic images and any patient data available on the enterprise system. Using separate networking and Citrix® application, the access is fast.

Linkage to other storage systems (EMR via HL7®, 12-lead to MUSE®) puts data where it needs to be

Patient-centric access to data at bedside with CARESCAPE iPanel, which means enhanced efficiency at finding the right data for the right patient

Easy access to view and get alarms of the other patients in the other OR or PACU with AVOA. Anesthesiologist can view patients that are recovering in PACU or in other OR and managed by a nurse
